Music rights are complex. Castcraft's Music Rights Policy ensures you can use music in your podcast without worrying about licensing — everything in our library is pre-cleared for podcast and broadcast use.
All tracks in the Castcraft music library are licensed for:
Music licenses cover the podcast creator's use of the music within Castcraft-generated content. Licenses are maintained by Castcraft — if a license expires or changes, we will notify you and help you find alternative tracks.
If you upload your own music or audio, you are responsible for ensuring it is properly licensed for your intended use. Castcraft does not review or vet music you upload independently, and we are not responsible for any licensing violations related to your uploaded content.
The Music Breaks feature in Castcraft lets you insert pre-cleared music clips at designated points in your episode. Music break durations are capped at 60 seconds per break on Starter plans and unlimited on Pro and Studio plans. Music breaks are automatically flagged in your episode metadata for proper attribution.
Music from Castcraft's library may be used in podcast episodes that are monetized through advertising, sponsorships, listener support, or any other revenue model. You may not use the music tracks to create standalone audio works, compilation albums, or for any use outside of episodes published through Castcraft.
Some tracks in our library require attribution in your episode notes. When you use a track that requires attribution, we include a suggested attribution credit in your episode metadata. You are responsible for including required attributions as specified.
Music used in episodes distributed to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and other platforms is covered by our license as long as the content is distributed through Castcraft. If you download audio from Castcraft and redistribute it through other channels, you are responsible for securing your own licenses.
We may update, remove, or replace tracks in our library. If we remove a track you've used in published episodes, we'll notify you so you can update or re-edit affected episodes. We do not guarantee indefinite availability of any specific track.
