Account information: When you create a Castcraft account, we collect your name, email address, and password (hashed). You may also provide a profile photo and payment information if you subscribe to a paid plan.

Content you upload: This includes audio and video recordings, episode metadata, podcast artwork, and any text content you create through our platform.

Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with Castcraft, including pages visited, features used, and time spent. This helps us improve our service and understand user behavior.

Device and technical data: We collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers. When you record, we may process audio data through our AI tools — this audio is processed but not stored permanently beyond what's needed for the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain our podcasting services
• To process payments and manage subscriptions
• To generate AI content (scripts, clips, transcriptions) as you request
• To communicate with you about your account and service updates
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these circumstances:

• Service providers: With vendors who process data on our behalf (hosting, payment processing, AI services) under strict confidentiality agreements.

4. Distribution Data

When you distribute your podcast through Castcraft to platforms like Spotify or Apple Podcasts, those platforms will process your episode metadata, audio, and artwork according to their own privacy policies. This is beyond our control once your content is submitted to third-party platforms.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records). Your podcast episodes and content may be retained for a reasonable period after deletion to ensure proper service shutdown.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and understand platform usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We also use analytics to understand how users navigate Castcraft — this data is aggregated and anonymized.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/HTTPS) for all data transmission. Audio recordings are processed in memory and not stored on our servers longer than necessary for AI processing. Payment information is processed by Stripe and never touches our servers directly.

8. Children's Privacy

Castcraft is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

9. Your Rights
